If we only listen to our minds, we miss out on a wealth of information that can steer us toward the lives we secretly crave. It's like having tunnel vision, where we only consider options based on only part of our brain's focus.

It may "make sense" logically. However, let's consider using more of our senses to make decisions.

Imagine walking down a hallway with various doorways to choose your own adventure.

Some doors may open automatically, inviting you in. Some you open yourself. And others you overlook or pass by. When entering new spaces, we often sense a certain vibe. Think about when you walk into a room of people. You immediately have a sense of the mood of the room, don't you? Science has recently confirmed the existence of our sixth sense, or intuition. What if you used that intuition proactively when making decisions in your life and let it guide you as to whether you really want to walk into that doorway, or not?

Imagine all the options before you. Trust your senses and how your body responds to these situations. Pay attention to your body's reactions as well as your intuition.

Recently, I had to make a decision that some might view as a fantastic opportunity. However, after a call that gave me all the details, I couldn't ignore the heavy feeling that settled over me. I felt exhausted and weighed down as if my energy had been sapped. I mentioned this to my father that afternoon, and he asked what I would say to my clients in this situation. I would tell them to trust their body's response & intuition. Both of those were a clear "no."

What if the best decision for YOU, the one that will bring YOU the most happiness, peace, and joy, contradicts logic? What if your intuition and body offer wiser guidance?

I invite you to practice incorporating these senses into your decisions today.

And while we're at it, with four months left in the year, consider how you want to experience them. What personal goals have you yet to achieve this year? Maybe you initially intended to prioritize health, spend guilt-free time with family, or carve out more time for yourself.

We often get so engrossed in our work goals and then are disappointed when we don't prioritize our other goals.

And you are probably realizing that true lasting fulfillment doesn't solely come from being productive with your work.

If you'd like to get my support to finish this year strong in ALL areas of your life, there are a couple of avenues you can explore. First, get a glimpse into my coaching and my program Busy to Balanced™ by watching this video. And if you're interested in 1:1 private coaching, as of the time I published this post, I have 2 spots available for the fall. You can go here to schedule a call to discuss options and see if I'm a good fit for you.

Let's make the most of these last four months of the year.

Trust your gut.

“Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself.”
